How Unbiased Insights came to be

Unbiased Insights didn't start as a content project. It started as four separate careers spent inside the same problem: watching founders lose months building the wrong thing, pitching the wrong story, or trusting the wrong signal.

Tom Collopy, Gabe Gonzales Orta, Lewis Sheats, and Josh Guter have each built and run their own startups. But they've also spent years on the other side of the table, as the advisors, mentors, and accelerator managers other founders turn to when something isn't working. This isn't just their own experience. It's four people who watched the same handful of mistakes happen to founder after founder, and finally decided to write down what they kept seeing.

Every resource on this site came out of that pattern. The goal has always been simple: help you avoid learning it the hard way, the way we did.
